Liam from SmartAlex builds a brand new outbound campaign while Jake asks the questions. There are seven steps: setup, audience, conversation, follow-up texts, emails, retries and timing. This part covers the first four. Liam picks the number to call from, adds Jake as the contact and writes the goal in one plain sentence.
You're going to start off with like a very fresh brand new campaign where you're going to be able to see everything. And you go into your lefth hand bar. You go into you got home, analytics, and then campaigns. We're going to click on campaigns, create a new campaign, and this is going to take us through what we call like a fancy wizard.
Okay? But it's actually really quite simple. There's seven steps in creating a campaign.
You've got setup, audience, conversation, follow-up, text, emails, retries, and timing. Those are the like seven steps to creating a campaign.
All right,
So campaign name, what do you want to name it? Let's make the campaign name like Alex sales and then we'll do another one where it's like literally specific to Triple Shot.
Well, because you can build different agents in the same campaign, so you can test out different just for those who don't understand this. You can test out different agents within one campaign. The data will suggest which ones are doing well and you can angle your campaign like that. Things change, clients change, but you can also change your strategy on Alex constantly, which is really cool.
100%. Well said.
And if we go to calling from, I'm going to choose a certain phone number. So, I'm going to choose this phone number. Now, you can see there's like different icons here, right? There's there's a red one and then there's there's that one.
The red one's actually our international provider, Twilio.
And this one is our local South African provider. So, I'm going to click on this one cuz we're in South Africa. And I'm going to click on continue. So now I've like set up the campaign campaign name, agent, and calling from.
I'm going to click on continue.
And now I want to choose a contact. Okay. So I have a few ways to to choose contacts. The first is a list.
The second is a segment. So this is like a segment of people that you create.
The third is from a previous campaign.
And then you can choose individual people that you actually have
In your database. Correct.
Now I'm going to add a contact. I'm gonna add Jake Masel.
Yeah, you can just type it. Oh,
Create contact
For the Okay.
Okay. So, now what we've done is we have added Jake Masel as a contact. So, if I go into people and I search Jake and I search Jake, if we wait a couple of seconds, the Wi-Fi here is really slow, but there we Okay, we got Jake Masel. Fantastic.
I'm a contact. I'm bringing in your black book. Don't even worry about it.
Exactly. Right. Okay. And we're going to blow blow out that fun.
And just to just to pause for a second there with the CSV files, there was an update recently that I really liked. Talk about updates that you can upload a CSV file now just as it is and it'll actually format names and numbers for you. This would have changed my freaking
So many times in so many soft flows I had to formulate. I didn't know what I was do. I like
Who likes Excel spreadsheets honestly. Who actually likes it? And by the way, you can also good point. You can also upload an Excel file without needing to convert it into a CSV file, which is
It's so lovely.
So, we we've chosen Jake. We're going to click on continue.
And now, what's the goal of the campaign? I'm going to say over here, and I'm just speaking in I'm going to say the goal of the campaign is to call Jake and convince him literally like your life depends on it, that he has to buy SmartAlex. So yeah, please do that.
Okay. And boom. I literally did as simple as that. I put the goal in of the
Now, I've done a lot of sales. I'm going to be brutally honest here. If this is not as good as what I know I could do, I will say so.
Okay. All right. Please do. Okay.
Then you've got opening line and we've got starting point. Now, we don't really need a starting point because we actually going to let the agent create.
So, we're going to No opening line.
The agent's going to naturally
I wouldn't use an opening line.
Exactly. Right.
You play the field.
And then you're going to continue.
Now, do you want to follow up by text? So, during the call, do you want the agent to send a message
To the person? We're going to leave this off for now.
And then after the call, do you want the agent to actually basically if they if it couldn't reach the person, send them a message and say, "Hey, Jake, I couldn't reach you, by the way."
And then just to just to pause here, we're building one assistant for one campaign, right?
Correct. Correct. Well, this is we built the assistant. So, we have the assistant's brain
And now what we're doing is we're putting it in the harness of a campaign that's going to be able to make phone calls to millions of people.
And then are there like could you make a different agent with different settings in the same campaign?
Was it the same settings, but you just change your agent's style? So what what what you would do is you would create another campaign
With a different agent with a different outcome and a different objective and you could have both of them run at the same time,
But they're still routing to the same
Correct. Correct. I see. So you could do it that
