Never write up a meeting again
The Mac app runs on macOS 14 or later with Apple Silicon (M1 or better), and is notarized by Apple so it opens with no security warning. Before recording, you confirm you are authorised and will inform participants. Read the recording notice.

- Does it join my calls?
- If you want it to. Add it to a Google Meet, Zoom or Teams call and it joins to take notes for everyone, or use the Mac app to record locally with nothing in the call.
- Does it work for in-person meetings?
- Yes. The Mac app captures your computer audio and microphone, so a video call or a room both work.
- Where do my recordings go?
- Into SmartAlex under Meetings, with the transcript, summary and action items. Searchable, and shareable to Slack or as a PDF.
- Do I need the Mac app?
- Only for local recording. Joining your calls and everything after runs in your browser.
- Which Macs are supported?
- Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or newer) on macOS 14 or later. Windows is coming soon.
- Will it warn me on first open?
- No. The Mac app is notarized by Apple, so a normal double-click works.
