Widget Region Addenda

Version 1.0 · Effective July 6, 2026 · THERCSGROUP PTE. LTD. (trading as SmartAlex, Singapore Reg. No. 202543608D)

Region-specific terms that supplement the Widget Terms of Service and the Data Processing Addendum. The region and audience a business declares select which apply and set the Widget's default consent behaviour.

United States (CCPA / CPRA and Global Privacy Control)

SmartAlex acts as a service provider and does not sell or share visitor personal data. The business is responsible for its own notice at collection and its opt-out mechanism. The Widget honours the Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of sale or sharing where the law gives it effect; when it is present, the advertising pixel does not fire. Recording follows one-party or all-party consent rules by state. The Widget does not use device fingerprinting for advertising.

Children (COPPA)

The advertising pixel is blocked on any Widget whose business declares a child-directed audience. The business is responsible for obtaining verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information from a child under 13.

Washington My Health My Data Act (and similar)

The advertising pixel is blocked on any Widget declared as a health or wellness audience or that collects or infers consumer health data. The business must obtain any consent these laws require before collecting or sharing such data.

European Union (GDPR, ePrivacy, EU AI Act)

Non-essential storage and any advertising or analytics signals require prior, freely-given, specific, informed consent. The Widget defaults to deny for marketing and reads a recognised consent signal before firing anything non-essential. Visitors are informed they are interacting with an AI system, and before a call is recorded. Restricted transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses.

United Kingdom (UK GDPR, PECR, Data (Use and Access) Act 2025)

The European position applies with UK equivalents: consent for non-essential storage under PECR, UK GDPR lawful basis, and the UK Addendum for transfers. A lighter footing may apply to low-risk aggregate analytics, but retargeting and advertising signals still require opt-in consent.

Rest of world

Where no specific region is declared, the Widget applies the European Union defaults as the safe baseline.
